Crocs away!

After all the excitement of the rugby we headed up the coast to Noosa for some winter sunshine. Turns out the Lions fancied a spot of R&R in the sun too (I think Alex secretly knew this all along...), so we spent our days Lion spotting on the beach, topping up the tans, and due to budget constraints we ended up sleeping in a dorm room... in bunk beds. Yup, the honeymoon is definitely over! Ha!

Thanks to Dwee and Matt Lawson though, we had a special wedding pressie to enjoy at the Australia Zoo! School holidays are currently on, so we shared our day with a large amount of Irwin fans. Mainly Bindi Irwin fans it turns out - for those who don't know (...and I didn't until now), Bindi, is a huge kids idol here in Oz... an all singing, all dancing, fitness DVD producing, book publishing, fashion designing, croc wrangling 14 year old. It was all rather mind boggling, and if that's not enough don't forget there's Rob the 9 yr old who has just released 2 new dinosaur books don't cha know?!

Anyway, once we'd gotten over the slightly cringe worthy self promoting scripted banter the family went through... we got to see some croc action... Charlie came out to play...
He particularly enjoyed this tasty rat you can just see poking out his snapper! Hehe! (That's Bindi behind Teri holding some noice juicy meat for afters...)
Yummy.

All rather entertaining. Here's the croc's lined up out back in some sort of Gladiator-esque scenario waiting to come and play...
At least Charlie has a girlfriend for company ;)

The show was good fun, and of course there's a whole load of other animals to play with too...
Yeah... got a whole load of Kangaroo slobber on me that one!!! Yuck.

Check out this guy...
...oh wait, that's right... he wasn't in the zoo... he was hanging out over our heads in a tree on Noosa high street! Eeeeep!

Happy days in Noosa though... relaxed and ready for SE Asia... see you there! x x x
