A pocket full of posies...

An early morning trip to Covent Garden Flower market - Grandpa took Mum before her wedding day, so we recreated the past and I took Mum to collect our flowers and soak up the atmosphere... and the beautiful smells of course!

Jenny Tobin had pre-ordered our flowers, and was helping us out being a Film and TV chum... we were able to use her workshop to create our fabulous displays, well, that is, Jenny created the fabulous displays whilst Mum and I 'conditioned' the flowers. Yes, this is the very glamorous process of de thorning, de leafing and cutting the bottom of all the flowers. After 4 hours of very fiddly preening (and this was only half the flowers we'd ordered!)... I really wished I had not chosen Love in the Mist and Forget-me-nots!!! It's all so worth it in the end though... as you will see... x

The flower market!

So easily side tracked by pretty heart shaped shells...

That's the bouquet sorted then.
Mine! They're all mine! So pretty...

Conditioning the flowers at Jenny's workshop - Mum's still smiling at this point!

Ta da! Beautiful no?!
